On 30 November 2023, in Skopje, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Mr. Sodiq Imomi participated and addressed the side event “Addressing the Impact of Climate Change on Human Security in the OSCE Area” which was held on the margins of the 30thMinisterial Council of the OSCE.

The Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized significant increase in number of extreme natural phenomena in the region and Tajikistan, which causes serious damage to the population and the economy of the country.

 

 

 

Mr. Sodiq Imomi also recalled the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Emomali Rahmon, to declare 2025 the International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation, including the establishment of the Group of Friends of Glaciers.
