On August 17, 2023, Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan received Ms. Gwi Yeop Son, the Regional Director of the UN Development Coordination Office for Europe and Central Asia.

 

 

 

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the current situation and prospects for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and UN structures, issues related to projects implemented in Tajikistan, upcoming events, as well as opportunities to expand relations in various fields.

On June 5, 2023, Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan met with Ms. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Executive Secretary of the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.

 

 

 

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current situation and prospects for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and the Commission, as well as topics related to food security, transport, green economy, disaster risk reduction, water and climate, especially Tajikistan’s new initiative on glacier’s preservation. During the meeting, issues of strengthening cooperation in various areas of mutual interest were also discussed.
