<p>Germany top medal table of #Karate1Acapulco</p>

<p>The first Karate 1-Youth League event of the season concluded in Acapulco (Mexico) with a celebration of the strength of Karate at young ages. The delegations of Germany and Mexico topped the medal table of the event.</p>
<p>The last day of action put the younger competitors on the central stage. Germany cemented their status as big winners of the event after claiming three gold medals on the final day. Emily-Chiara Drehmann won the title in U14 Kumite Female -42kg, Ili Helen dominated in U14 Kumite Female -47kg while Tim Niederelz claimed the crown in U14 Kumite Male -55kg.</p>
<p>With this result, the German delegation topped the final medal table with a total of six golds.</p>

<p>The hosts of Mexico also finished the event on a high note after garnering a total of five gold medals. Victor Alejandro Parra Sandoval in U14 Kumite Male -50kg and Emmanuel Vieria Hernandez in U14 Kumite Male -40kg wrapped up the successful performance of the organising country on the final day.</p>
<p>The representatives of the United States and Venezuela ended the event in the third position of the medal table with three golds each. Alessandra Perez won the title in U14 Kata Female for the United States while Gianluca Greco in U14 Kata Male and Leon Joves Monroy in U14 Kumite Male -45kg completed the gold medal count for Venezuela.</p>
<p>The list of gold medallists on the final day is completed with Wiktor Wojarski of Poland in U14 Kumite Male +55kg, and Maia Ewing of Scotland in U14 Kumite Female -47kg.</p>
<p>After the successful event in Acapulco, the Karate 1-Youth League moves to Limassol (Cyprus) where the second tournament of the year will take place from April 29 to May 01.</p>

<p>Two golds for hosts of Mexico in Day 2 of #Karate1Acapulco</p>
<p>Cadet categories took the central stage on the second day of the competition of the 2022 Karate 1-Youth League Acapulco. Hosts of Mexico were the big winners of the day with two gold medals.</p>
<p>After claiming one title on the opening day, the representatives of the organising country showcased top level also in the cadet categories. Hayato Yoshi Mizukami added one more crown for the hosts following a hard-fought victory in Cadet Kumite Male -57kg while Lizette Basilisa Valentin Garcia was crowned in Cadet Kumite Female +54kg.</p>
<p>Two of the nations that had succeeded in the first day – France and Germany – also prevailed in the second day of the competition. Mai-Linh Bui won the title in Cadet Kata Female for France as Zoe Thiel took the German flag to the top of the podium in Cadet Kumite Female -47kg.</p>
<p>The titles in cadet divisions were highly disputed as representatives of nine different countries went home with the crowns today.</p>
<p>Matthew Gruitia won gold for Canada in Cadet Kata Male while Karin Mariana Veliz Rodriguez of Guatemala prevailed in Cadet Kumite Female -54kg. Matt Rombeaux dominated in Cadet Kumite Male -52kg as Iker Leal took the crown of Cadet Kumite Male -63kg for Spain.</p>
<p>The list of winners today was completed with Venezuela’s Alejandro Zerpa in Cadet Kumite Male -70kg, and Croatia’s Nikola Gondi in Cadet Kumite Male +70kg.</p>
