On December 12, 2024, the next round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic was held in Paris. The consultations were chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Ismatullo Nasredin, and the Director for Continental Europe, Brice Roquefeuil.

The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in political, economic, cultural, and regional security spheres.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of relations and emphasized their interest in further deepening and expanding multifaceted cooperation, as well as implementing joint programs and projects in the next stages.

Attention was also paid to the cooperation between Tajikistan and France within the framework of international and regional organisations.

On August 8th 2023, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Farhod Salim received the copies of Credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the Republic of Tajikistan Mrs. Elsa Pignol.

 

 

 

 

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on current state and prospects for development of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and France and other issues of mutual interest.

 

 

 

 

The Deputy Foreign Minister congratulated the Ambassador of France on her appointment and wished her success in her diplomatic mission in Tajikistan.
